Peace in the Bible is more than quiet circumstances. It is the settled trust of someone who knows God is near, and it is something to pass on to others. These verses are worth carrying with you: short enough to learn in a week, and strong enough to hold on to when things are not calm.
You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You. Trust in the LORD forever, for in YAH, the LORD, is everlasting strength.
The one who steadfastly trust in the LORD will have perfect peace.
But whatever house you enter, first say, 'Peace to this house.' And if a son of peace is there, your peace will rest on it; if not, it will return to you.
